There is a stigma that is connected to dancers and their health. The dance world contains a dangerous amount of eating disorders and unhealthy living to achieve a body type that is favored for this sport. For professional dancers, they are doing intense rehearsals for up to 12 hours a day with little break. When you are burning that many calories it is important to get sufficient nutrients to give you the energy to get through the day.
